Neo Geo Pocket Color (83-9591-01)

From 1999 until 2000 the Neo Geo Pocket Color was sold in the United States before being ripped away because of SNK's bankruptcy. The system was $69.99 USD and came with 2 AA batteries and a CR2032 battery.. The Silver Sonic model sold for $99.99 USD and came with 2 AA batteries, a CR2032 battery and a Sonic Pocket Adventure game. It was a 16 bit color reflective TFT-format LCD system that could link up to the Sega Dreamcast with a special cord. The system boasted 146 colors on display. The batteries would last 40 hours average on the AA batteries and data could be saved on the CD2032 battery for a one year average. Batteries could not be taken out simulatneously or else all data would be erased. If the LED light starts to flicker, that means that the battery will be dead soon.

Preprogrammed software was put in the system such as: calender, world clock, horoscope, and alarm. The color settings for the monochrome games could be changed in the Settings function and the following colors were available: black/white, red, green, blue, and sepia.
