Tiger R Zone Head Gear

The R Zone Headgear component that sits over the players right eye.

The R Zone Headgear was an attempt at a "virtual reality" like device. The only way it was like virtual reality is in the way it was cosmeticall designed. The cartridge was placed in the head unit (shown by the red line above) and there was also a second cartridge slot in the controller that was only used for storage. The image of the game was projected over the user's right eye onto the piece of shatterproof plastic (the blue/yellow square shown above.)

In many ways, the R-Zone series was a glorified Tiger pocket game. Both were based on LCD screens, but the R-Zone was able to have changable cartridges.

Bottom of the Controller shows volume and brightness control.

Top of Controller shows Cartridge Storage slot (NOT cartridge slot)
